So today was the last day that Pete and I had before he had to fly out to NY for the week. We decided to hit our favorite consignment store in Idaho Springs. I thought that I would snap some quick shots while we were there.
The main strip is falling apart. It seems like another store is gone each time we go. The consignment store is gone and looks like it's been replaced with some store filled with crap.
The snowboarding/skate shop is also going under so at least we got some good deals. If you paid with cash everything was 50% off.
We decided to grab some food at the pizza place we haven't tried yet, Picci's. It's an awesome space and it seems pretty mellow. There was a family playing pool and eating and a few people at the bar.
We were thinking slices and an appetizer, but our waitress who might be the owner, said they had two slices and they looked old so we went with a calzone instead. I did see a pizza go by and it looked really good so next time we'll have to try it.
For our appetizer we got the Spinach Artichoke Dip. On the menu it claimed nothing was frozen. It was OK, really heavy.
Here is a shot of our calzone. Again, it was only OK. The sauce was really good. I think next time we need to pick different filler. We had sausage, pepper and onion and in my opinion the veggies were too raw and there could have been a better blend of cheese.
