Hef Documentary Trailer
July 31, 20100 Comments
Ever since 'The Girls Next Door' I've really taken a liking to Hef. Not enough that I would want to date him, even to live in the Playboy Mansion, I don't understand how those girls do it.  But I think that this will be a really cool documentary and I can't wait to see it. He certainly has lived a full and interesting life.

Les Grossman, Getting his own Movie
July 07, 20100 Comments
For any of you who saw Tropic Thunder, filmed in Kauai where we went for our Honeymoon, knows the hilarious part Tom Cruise played as Lee Grossman the Hollywood producer.  Well now word is that he's getting his own Spin off Movie.  I think it'll be a riot!

For those of you who don't remember or haven't see it and aren't sure just who this is watch the video below taken from this years MTV Movie awards that he 'produced'.

Mr. T not feeling the new generation
July 05, 20100 Comments
Mr. T has been quoted as saying:
'People die in the film and there's plenty of sex but when we did it, no one got hurt and it was all played for fun and family entertainment.

These seem to be elements nobody is interested in anymore.  It was too graphic for me. I've no doubt it will do big business at the box office but it's nothing like the show we turned out every week.'

Is Michael Bay hurting his own movie?
May 30, 20100 Comments
Two of my favorite Transformers won't be making it into the newest movie.   The Twins, Mudflap & Skids, are being taken out because people felt they were stereotypical and racist.  What a bummer, I thought they were funny.

So this morning I noticed that the pool cover had been removed

Upon closer inspection I saw that this is what is being done to get the pool ready for the season.  It's nice to see they care so much.  I'm not sure if it's doing anything at all.

Pete hit up A-Basin today with Mark and one of his friends and I headed out to Keystone to hit the village and look for a job but I was told something I had known already but forgot until now.  I need to meet with the HR office to apply and they aren't in on the weekend.  Duh!  So I'll be going back on Monday.

Nothing much else going on today, I'll be in the kitchen as usual and Pete will be tired when he gets home so it'll be a TV night.  I might be able to get him to watch Cocktail, the bartending movie with Tom Cruise.  Surprisingly I've never seen it but I figured it would be a good idea even though it's not very realistic.

Living like it's 1999
May 13, 20100 Comments

According to an article in "The NY Post"  the average age of the person watching the new Sex in the City movie is between 40 & 50.  That's crazy!  I can't believe that it's been 12 years since the show premiered.

Shrek Premiers at the Ziegfeld
May 11, 20100 Comments
The Ziegfeld is my favorite theater in NY.  It opened in 1927 and the interior is beautiful, luxurious and deco.  It's definitely something to behold and enjoy.  It's so nice to see a movie here.

The theater is located at 141 West 54th Street and Pete and I made it a point to go there as much as possible while we lived in the city.  I'm pretty sure that we made it to all the new Star Wars movies there.  It was the only place we wanted to see them.

They used this theater for the world premier for 'Shrek Forever After' during the Tribeca Film Festival.  When we went to the festival it was at the theater downtown, still fun but like I said I love this place.

Smurf's in the City
May 11, 20100 Comments
'The Smurfs' is filming in New York City,  according to the storyline 'The Smurfs fall through a portal and end up in Central Park, and Gargamel, played by Hank Azaria in the picture below, who's chasing them, follows.  Neil Patrick Harris is running in Central Park. The Smurfs end up sneaking into his backpack.'(Quotes taken from "NYP")

Another cool thing I think about this movie is that my favorite source of fashion knowledge Tim Gunn, will be playing an Executive Assistant to the evil Cosmetics Queen in the movie.
