Now this is a Colorado House
June 09, 20120 Comments
For only $49 million this house in Aspen could be yours!  The 90-acre ranch was known as the most expensive house for sale in the US.  As part of the deal another small parcel of land was included, another 38 acre ranch.

The property also has horse stables, an indoor swimming pool, a tennis court, a water treatment plant and a high-tech security system.  A mechanical shop is also on the property with gas pumps and car washes.

Hapa's 1st Day Snowboarding
January 27, 20120 Comments
Here are some pics from Pete & Hapa's day of skiing Loveland Pass

Trying to get back up to Pete.  He said she had a few problems in the deep snow but kept up with the other dogs for the most part.

Here she is just hanging on the trail

She was tired like I've never seen her before.  Looks like we found her weakness, our puppy loves powder!

Powers Out
November 13, 20110 Comments
So much for our Sunday...the storm that's going on this weekend has knocked out power from here to over 40 miles away and has been out since last night. I feel bad for the renters next door, they only have electric heat, and we have a broken gas fireplace that will hardly heat the Living Room it's located in.

Hopefully we'll have power back before dark but the storm is only getting worse.....

What a waste of Tax Dollars
October 27, 20110 Comments
This is why I think I should run for office here. This is what they are debating on doing in Colorado now....

Town of Telluride
ordinance, passed in the Town Council by a 5-2 vote, 10/5/10
ban on all plastic carryout bags (including compostable plastic)
10-cent fee on “permitted paper bags”
applies to ALL businesses
implementation:
January 1, 2011 for grocery stores
March 1, 2011 for all other businesses

Ordinances Under Discussion
City of Aspen and the Roaring Fork Valley
As of February 2011, Aspen, CO is considering a 5 to 20-cent fee on single-use carryout bags or a ban on plastic bags. The City of Aspen hopes to work with other local municipalities (Basalt, Carbondale, Snowmass Village, Glenwood Springsas) to create a regional approach.
