So the craziest thing happened last night at work, it was a little bit slow in the bar and I saw some drinks that needed to be taken to the dining room so I walked them over.  What I found was the most exciting thing to happen, in a good way, since I moved here. 

Three girls were sitting at the table and the one closest to me I recognized right away as Kelly Clark, the Olympic Snowboarder.

One of the girls that was served a drink looked incredibly familiar but I couldn't place her.  I thought at first it was Lindsay Vonn but after looking at some pictures today I really think it was another very famous snowboarder, Gretchen Bleiler.

Both have won Olympic medals in Halfpipe so that was a pretty cool experience.  Who would have thought that they would come into our restaurant?

During the race for the bronze metal when the riders thought the race was over they both jumped back on their bikes in a mad dash to properly finish the race.

The final was just crazy.  Who knew anyone could make such a comeback!

What was up with the Rally race last night?  They had the running order wrong the whole time and I'm pretty sure that they waved the flag a lap early.  Here is a replay.

So I've been trying to watch as much of the X Games this year as possible.  Hopefully watching all these extreme sports I'll get inspired to really go for it this year with snowboarding.  (Oh yeah, it's already time to start thinking about it again.  We already put deposits on our season passes.) 

I was excited to see Shaun White skateboard in the Skate Vert competition.  I thought he did a great job but he ended up with the Silver.  I found some video if you didn't catch it.

Later in the coverage we were watching Motor Cross where Paris Rosen was involved in the worst crash I've ever seen.  While he was attempting to do a front flip he landed on his neck.  I will warn you that this isn't something you should watch if you're sensitive.  According to reports he's able to move his toes so thankfully he should have a full recovery.

Chanel has created a line of sports equipment that has me drooling. 

But I would snowboard everyday if I had this board.  Maybe I can talk Pete into it cause it's his favorite sport!  Who am I kidding, I'm only allowed to ride Burton. 

So the other day when I went into the office Patti, our office manager, gave me pics from our trip.  This is the one that Pete liked the best.  I'm the left front paddler.
