So one of the lessons was how to slice an onion and here is my final product. Obviously I've sliced one before but like I've said, every lesson will be done and documented.
To caramelize the onions, into the pan they went with butter
After cooking it 5 minutes
I added the sugar, turned down the heat and let it cook for another 30.
I have never cooked onions that long. I was telling Pete that I don't think I've ever properly caramelized onions before because I never add sugar. According to Anthony Bordaine that's why veggies in a restaurant are so good, they are loaded up with sugar.
