Bad luck strikes again for New York Mets

Of course, it's always something with the Mets
It's being "Reported" that starting short stop Jose Reyes

is suffering from thyroid problems and it will be affecting his playing time this season.  Since he's been hurt on and off since he started playing in the big-leauges with the Mets in the spring of 2002 I'm really not surprised that he'll be on the DL.  He is one of our best players when he isn't hurt so hopefully things will turn out OK and maybe we can make it to the post season this year.

I'm glad that the games aren't in Shea anymore, then I would really want to go when we head back east.  I found this old pic of Shea on a sports blog.
That huge empty parking lot is now where the subway station is.  I can't believe how underdeveloped NYC was back in the day.

Citi Field, where the Mets now play, is crazy expensive for tickets.  We usually go about $50 for seats if we didn't get them for free from someone.  In the new stadium that will get you nosebleed seats.

Now, if we go to a Rockies game here, and the Mets do come and play here, we can spend the same amount of money and get seats right behind the plate.  And I don't care about all the amazing cuisine that is being served throughout Citi Field cause the only things that I eat at a baseball game are Hot Dogs and Beer.  Why would you need anything else?
