Air traffic Control Incident

I'm not quite sure what the problem is here and why everyone is freaking out.    A child was heard giving the instruction from an air traffic control tower at JFK on Feb 16th & 17th. Obviously the child was being instructed on what to say.  It's not like the dad walked out of the room to go take lunch. 
 


You can clearly hear the amusement in the pilots tone of voice and what little kid wouldn't love to do that?   Everyone is making the argument that it's like letting your child perform open heart surgery on someone.  I think that's just a bit extreme. 

The father has now been "Suspended" from his job.  I think that it is unacceptable that this happened to him and I wish that someone at JFK had the gumption to stand up for him.
