I watched this documentary for the 2nd time the other day....
It had been sitting in my Netflix instant queue for months and months. I thought it would discuss the enormous cost of having a baby. It did briefly discuss that, but it also went into a ton of stuff that I never really considered about the entire process and what really happens in that hospital room.
At fist when I saw it was made by Ricki Lake I was a bit leery.
Yep, the trashy talk show host from the 90's is now a mother of two and wanted to share her birthing experiences since they were so different. The first being in the hospital and her second at home.
I was very surprised at how much I learned. And I have to say that if you are ever planning on having kids that you should watch it.
So as I said below, I was going to write my article on this movie instead of about a topic covered in the movie, "Designer Births" . My goal was to write 500, I went over by 4. I'm not sure if this is a standard length but I thought it was a good start.
